In the Atlas of Mediterranean Sea Shells project, this volume concludes the part of the Caenogastropoda. The volume of 337 pages, includes 214 color plates with 1315 photographs relating to the 143 species of Cancellarioidea and Conoidea recognized as living in the Mediterranean Sea. The drafting of this volume required over four years of work both due to the objective difficulties connected to the taxonomy of the Conoidea and to the finding of the material. With this volume (the seventh published), the work illustrates over 1250 species with over 7000 photos. To conclude the work, 3 more volumes remain to be published, one to complete the gastropods (other heterobranchia and Opistobranchia), one to complete the bivalves and one reserved for the minor classes (Polyplacophora, Scaphopoda).
