Quartz Crystal — Monti Pisani, Tuscany, Italy

Attractive specimen of quartz [SiO₂] from the Monti Pisani, the hilly range situated between Pisa and Lucca in Tuscany — a classic Italian locality for this mineral.

The specimen consists of a small group of prismatic crystals with well-developed terminations, displaying a warm honey-yellow to orange coloration due to iron oxide inclusions (goethite/limonite) coating and penetrating the crystal. The translucency of the main crystal, combined with the natural orange-amber tones, gives the piece a pleasant aesthetic appeal well above its price range.

A nice entry-level or cabinet specimen, equally suitable for beginning collectors or as an affordable example of Italian mineral localities.
